Frequently asked questions

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle: from 2,500 THB for a car taking up to three or four guests, with driver and guide included. Larger vans for bigger groups are quoted on request — the per-person cost drops quickly as your group grows.

Which entrance fees should I budget?

The Big Buddha and the Pattaya Viewpoint are free (donations welcome at the temple). The Sanctuary of Truth charges 500 THB per adult. Everything else on the standard route costs nothing to enter.

Is there a dress code?

Wat Phra Yai is an active temple: cover shoulders and knees, and remove shoes where signed. The Sanctuary of Truth is relaxed about dress but provides hard hats where carving work is overhead.

Can we customise the route?

Yes — that is the point of going private. Common swaps: adding Wat Yansangwararam and the Khao Chi Chan carved Buddha (full-day), a Thai massage stop, or finishing at Terminal 21 rather than your hotel.

How far ahead should we book?

A day or two is usually enough outside high season (December–January and Chinese New Year), when three to five days ahead is safer for English-speaking guides.

Getting to Pattaya for your tour?

Private transfer: Bangkok Airport → Pattaya

Fixed price from BKK or DMK, driver meets you at arrivals, no haggling at the taxi rank. About 2 hours door to door.

Compare transfer prices

Hotel pickup in Pattaya and Jomtien is included on most tours — but for your arrival, book a private, fixed-price transfer from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Don Mueang (DMK) or U-Tapao (UTP) in advance. Door to door, no surprises.
