A 100-metre monument on the Naklua seafront carved entirely from hardwood, without a single nail — Pattaya’s most impressive sight by a distance. Go at opening time; entry is about 500 THB as of mid-2026.

Spend a beach day on Koh Larn
The 40-baht ferry from Bali Hai Pier delivers the clear turquoise water the mainland lacks. Tien and Samae are the calm, swimmable beaches — just respect the last boat back around 18:00.

Climb Big Buddha Hill and the Pattaya viewpoint
Wat Phra Yai’s 18-metre golden Buddha and the classic panorama over the curve of Pattaya Bay share Pratumnak Hill. Free, and at its best in the late-afternoon light.

Tiffany’s Show has been running its Vegas-style revue since 1974, with tickets from about 1,000 THB — Pattaya’s classic mainstream night out, coach parties and grandmothers included.

Eat your way through a night market
Thepprasit Night Market (Friday–Sunday) is the big one: grilled squid, boat noodles and mango sticky rice at 40–100 THB a serving. Street food is Pattaya’s best-value pleasure.

Feed giraffes at Khao Kheow Open Zoo
Thailand’s best zoo, 45 minutes north: open enclosures, a walk-through aviary and giraffe feeding that small children never forget. Rent a golf cart — the park is huge.

Take a boat or snorkelling trip to the near islands
